Join us for our February meeting! Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us this month. For those who ventured out in January we apologize that we couldn’t reach you.
As it was planned for last month, our program will be centered on the issue of recycling plastics and the impact the dioxins that are emitted at the Excel Power Plant potentially have on the River, the critters and you, me and those that follow. The La Crosse Committee of the Whole passed legislation to move forward on this issues and La Crosse County is considering the same. Come listen to several of the leaders who are actively moving this very important issue forward.
We will also:
· discuss our plans for 2010
· Review the very successful Genoa Kid’s Ice Fishing Event
· hear about plans for 2010 Youth Fest
· hear about the new Brice Prairie facility
· hear about volunteering activities
· hear what is new with the fisheries and refuge staff
· hear about an exciting grant possibility that we are on a short list to receive in the next month.
